Shia LaBeouf visits a dispensary in LA… after bar brawl sentencing

Shia LaBeouf was spotted stopping by a Los Angeles dispensary on Friday.

The troubled 40-year-old actor – who celebrated his birthday with new girlfriend Nicole Mumphrey in June – wore a solemn expression during the solo outing.

LaBeouf appeared to be holding something in a brown paper bag as he exited the dispensary. 

The Daily Mail has reached out to his publicist and attorney for comment but has not yet received a response. 

He was dressed in dark gray athletic shorts, which bared his tattooed thighs.

The star added a cream-colored short-sleeved crew-neck shirt that he tucked into his drawstring bottoms.

LaBeouf rounded out the casual look with white socks and a pair of black-and-white Nike Cortez sneakers.

He sported a scruffy, graying beard, and his dark hair was cut short with longer tufts at the top. 

In June, the filmmaker entered a guilty plea on three misdemeanor counts of battery in connection to a raucous bar brawl in February. 

He was sentenced to two years’ probation, alcohol abuse rehabilitation, sensitivity training and anger management classes, according to People magazine.

After his arrest in the early morning hours of February 17 for battery, the Transformers actor was initially released on his own recognizance.

However, he was subsequently required to post a $100,000 bond after the judge was made aware of allegations that LaBeouf used a gay slur during the brawl.

His second charge carried an additional $5,000 bond, and he was later hit with a third battery charge.

In a statement to the Daily Mail, LaBeouf’s lawyer Sarah Chervinsky responded to the severity of the charges and sentence.

Eyewitnesses claimed LaBeouf became increasingly aggressive at a business in February and was escorted out by staff, at which point he allegedly struck one man multiple times with closed fists

‘The police and DA investigation proved exactly what Shia LaBeouf said from the beginning – that this was nothing more than a minor Mardi Gras bar tussle,’ said Chervinsky.

‘There is no evidence it was about bias or prejudice, which is why the state only charged these low-level misdemeanors,’ she continued. ‘Mr. LaBeouf came to court today wanting to take accountability for his part in what happened, and he has done so. Now he’s looking forward to focusing on family, work, and new creative projects.’ 

Last month, the Holes star celebrated his birthday with the aforementioned Mumphrey in Louisiana.

On the special occasion, he and Mumphrey walked around New Orleans hand in hand. The couple has been linked since the spring.

LeBeouf split from wife Mia Goth, with whom he shares four-year-old daughter Isabel, last year.

Following the breakup, he relocated to New Orleans, where he has family roots.

‘It’s not new heartbreak. I don’t want to talk too much about it. It’s not my story alone to tell, but my side is I failed my marriage, so I had to own up to that. So that’s why I moved out here,’ he said during a Channel 5 interview in February.
